Winter Time = Slow Time

We are creeping up on the winter months which means it will be a little slow in the moving industry. One thing to remember is that it is cooler so our men can actually work faster. Being in Texas that is a good thing, as the summers are so hot that the men really have to pace themselves to get their moves done.
Moving companies will also be more willing to negotiate on the price of your move, which in this economy is a very good thing for the customer. Best Movers Dallas will always try to work with a customer to try and save them money no matter what time of year it is.
Another way to get deals for you and your friends is to like moving companies on facebook or Google+ as they might run a special for social media followers.
All in all winter is the best time for moving and would be a good time for customers to plan their next move. Remember make sur to ask if there are any discounts or winter specials...

Making Your Move Easier.

So it's time to move and your planning on hiring movers one thing you need to do is make sure that everything is packed so that nothing is rattling. Make sure that your movers have a good understanding of everthing you have, so that they bring the right sized equipment. Inform them of any obstacles, such as stairs and long walks.
I will add more to this blog as needed as new things come up daily in the moving business.

Google Places

So I have been on Google Places since the start so you would think that this is a good thing, Right, not so true. They have been doing all this updating and changing over that is supposed to help both the customer and the business, not so true.

For the last 4 months I have been getting the fatal "We do not currently support this location" bug, this has devasted my business as Movers is the most searched keyword for my business.

Can you imagine going from a annual salary of $200,000.00 + to $100,000.00 in less than a month? Well that is what I have been facing.

I have had to let go of Movers and now sit here with 1 crew that I can barely keep working. Looking for other avenues is all I do now and it is hard to find any that were as good as Google Places.

I have emailed them and all I get is the same old song and dance about how they are working on the issue and that I need to be patient, tell that to the 4 families that were relying on the income that I was providing them.

If you are smart you would work on getting your listings on other search engines like Bing, Yahoo, and the many others out there before Google shuts you down also.

By the way if you are in the Dallas area and need some Movers give us a shout.
